2007 - 2008

Trung T. Tieu (Chair) - Marketing Coordinator, PepsiCo

The 2006-2007 season marks Trung's sixth season with WCPA.  Trung has served as WCGC's co-manager, Tenor section leader for Unison, as co-chair of the WCPA Finance Committee, and chair of various fundraising events.  Prior to joining WCPA, Trung served as a board member for the Milwaukee LGBTQ Community Center as chair of its Programming Committee.  He has previously worked as grant writer and development professional for various non-profit organizations.  He currently serves as co-chair for his LGBT employee resource group and on the United Way’s Venture Investment Fund Panel.  Trung holds both a B.A. and M.A. in Communication.

Ray Lesniewski (Vice Chair) – Chemistry Teacher - Jones College Prep

A Chicago native, Ray joined the Windy City Gay Chorus in the fall of 2003.  He joined the Board and immediately served as WCPA Membership Coordinator in July of 2005.  He is currently serving as the Chair of the Science Department at Jones College Prep where he teaches Chemistry and has performed in its annual Opera Showcase with other teachers and students.  Ray served as the treasurer of GLSEN Chicago (Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network) in its first year.  He has also been on the Executive Board of the Illinois Association of Chemistry Teachers from 2001 – 2005, which included a term as President.

Suzanne F. Dunne (Treasurer) – Attorney, U.S. Department of Labor

Suzanne joined Unison in 2003, shortly after moving to Chicago.  Suzanne joined the Board in 2004 and has served as Secretary.  In addition, she has served as co-librarian for UNISON during the 2003-2005 seasons, and remains the Alto section leader.  She has been singing with a variety of choruses for years and is glad to be part of the Chicago community.  Suzanne works as a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Labor and grew up in St. Louis.

Aaron Eckhardt (Secretary) – Social Services Director, REST

Aaron is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) has worked with the Hate Crime / Domestic Violence Advocate and the National Coalition of Anti-Violence Projects (NCAVP).  A recent transfer from Columbus, Ohio, Aaron moved to Chicago in 2004.  Within a year he joined WCGC and this year joined the board as Secretary. After years of involvement with IMA Sinfonia National Men’s music fraternity, he now serves as Chairman of the Commission on Standards for IMA. 

Robert Basile – Retired

Having joined in 1979, Bob is a charter member of the Windy City Gay Chorus.  He is proud to say that he has only missed one season with the chorus.  A tireless volunteer from the beginning, Bob has organized our initial rummage sale, serves as WCGC librarian and recently joined the Board last year.
